Nails:

Having your nails done is the ideal way to complete your look, try a new trend, embrace a new style, or just make a simple change that makes you look and feel more beautiful. Our hands are visible to everyone all day, every day, making them worthy of a little extra time and attention. With simple, regular upkeep, you can easily have beautiful nails. We also look at our own hands all day, so there is something very rewarding in having well-maintained, beautiful nails.
Pre-Treatment:
Try and book your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance and be sure to let our receptionist know if you’d like any add on services like nail art or your toes just to be sure that we’ve allocated enough time and you get the best out of your visit.
Try looking on pinterest or on our social media for inspiration on colours and nail art prior to your appointment. If not our enthusiastic nail artists will be happy to give you some ideas.
The Treatment:
We push back and remove any non-living tissue to reveal the new nail which has grown to create beautifully neat cuticles. We also use this time to discuss your desired shape and length. We might ask you questions on your lifestyle or job to help us understand the needs of your nails and to correctly choose the system for you.
We remove any old nail varnish, gel or acrylic from the nail plate safety using either nail varnish remover or acetone, a hand or an e-file, all depending on what product was previously applied.
Gel Extensions
For those who want instantly long nails. Usually last 3 weeks.
Acrylic Extensions
For those who want longer nails, thicker than Gel Nail Extensions. Usually lasts 3-4 weeks.
Hard Gel (BIAB)
For those who have medium to long natural nails. Those who need an apex to build extra strength and structure to their nails. Lasts 3+ weeks
Soft Gel
For those with short to medium length nails, which will give added strength. Lasts 2-3 weeks
Nail Varnish
To simply colour the natural nail or enhancement. Provides no extra strength, 10-20 minutes for the product to dry.
All our enhancements are finished with a gel polish unless requested. All prices are inclusive of this
Nail Aftercare:
In general, be careful when doing things so you don’t damage your nail extensions and ultimately damage your natural nail. If you have gel extensions, be gentle for the first 24 – 48 hours after they are applied. It takes time for the bonding process to be completed.
Protect your nails by using gloves when doing housework and garden work. This will protect the condition of the nail.
Remember to moisturise your hands after washing them. This will allow the skin and nail bed to stay moisturised and smooth.
Use cuticle oil every evening. Cuticle oil will nourish the nail resulting in a stronger natural nail.
If you paint over your nail extension with another colour remember to use non-acetone polish remover to remove the top coat without damaging the enhancement underneath.
Do not pick off your nail extensions as this will remove the top layer of your natural nail, compromising its health and quality.
Always have your nail extensions professionally removed in the salon to prevent damage. We suggest having a manicure after removal to tidy the nail, clean the nail bed and generally have the nail looking in better shape.
Attend regular manicure maintenance appointments, approximately every 2-3 weeks, to keep your nails in shape and looking their best.
If there are signs of nail lifting, come into the salon to correct the enhancement before water and bacteria settle under the nail causing infection.
